Role Context
The Earnings Estimates and Analyst Recommendations function gives users several pieces of information, mainly focused on the prediction of a broker on financial data for a particular equity. It also includes historical data and future estimates used to judge the recommendation opinion of contributors and put them into context based on:
Economic trends
Business trends
Specific industries
Geographical regions
Product types
The role also provides comparative measures to support informed financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
Extract and analyze key financial estimates from financial statements, including:
Balance Sheet
Income Statement
Cash Flow Statement (for various brokerage firms and global companies, in English and Portuguese)
Attribute available data in the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement in accordance with the collection policy
Conduct broker-specific financial research
Maintain, improve, and deliver accurate, timely, and high-quality information for the Client Terminal
Work within various global accounting principles including:
GAAP
IFRS
Take ownership of broker financial statement analysis and stay up to date with market updates and broker rules
Employ analytical and logical reasoning to resolve issues and highlight service-level impacts to the team leader
Work on secondary products and specific industries
Participate in ad hoc quality projects outside normal duties when required
Essential Criteria
Demonstrable interest in financial markets
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject or relevant work experience
Fluency in English and Portuguese
Understanding of financial statement components
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage tight, conflicting deadlines
Speed and accuracy in data processing with strong attention to detail
Good proficiency in MS Excel (VBA and Macros experience is an advantage)
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Excellent written communication and presentation skills
While previous professional experience is not required, all candidates must meet the specified educational criteria and demonstrate the core skills outlined for this role
