Overall Purpose of Role: To provide administrative support for employee vetting compliance, which may include but isn’t limited to criminality (DBS) checks, right to work checks,
referencing, security vetting and the Working Time Directive as per the needs of
our client’s business.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Supporting compliance and vetting checks for all new starters,
current employees and TUPE employees as required• Using the Sterling screening platform to initiate compliance and vettingcheck, monitor their progression, and liaise with Sterling to addressqueries or delays, ensuring all checks are completed accurately and inline with SOPs.• Completion of vetting checks in line with legal requirements and clientguidelines, ensuring all applicants have the correct proof of identity, rightto work, references, proof of address and any other requireddocumentation to complete necessary checks• Being diligent and proactive regarding chasing any outstandingdocumentation required in line with SOP chase processes• Processing ad hoc reporting requests from business or legal bodiesfor audits.• Updating HR systems such as SAP, personnel files and trackers withpersonal data and documentation.• Establishing the requirement of additional vetting checks based on sectorand site knowledge. • Responding to internal and 3rd party information requests, drafting andissuing letters.• Liaising with managers and stakeholders to provide advice and trainingon compliance.• Identifying and reporting on risks and incomplete checks• You will ensure the health and safety of all colleagues within the businessand report any incidents via the approved company processes• Escalation of non-standard queries or risks to SLAs to Line Manager orrelevant business head.• Cross training in all areas of Compliance to assist in coveringabsence & holiday.• Management of all SOPs relating to processes within the teamand identifying areas of improvement.• Ad hoc administrative requests requested by Line Manager.• Demonstrable interest and understanding of HR and complianceEssential Criteria: • Administration experience• Strong IT and communication skills• Ability to grasp new systems quicklyDesirable Criteria: • Experience of using SAP• Experience of using ticketing system• Knowledge of regulatory bodies and their measuresCore Competencies:Customer Orientation: • Service orientation• ResponsivenessAnalytical Ability: • Problem SolvingHigh Impact Communication: • Clarity in communication, grammar & sentence constructionsLearning & Innovation: • Openness to new ideas• Learning OrientationBenefits:25 days holiday excluding Bank Holiday’s Leave Year runs from April 1 to March 31-Sick Pay (3 paid Days in a 12-month period)-Employee discounts – Perk Box-Access to training platform for PD – Lex-Pension – employer contribution 3% employee contribution 5% - total 8% of designated banding -Free Parking – Birmingham only-On site canteen – Birmingham only-Income ProtectionThis role profile is a guide to the work you will initially be required to undertake commensurate with job level and experience.
