Job description
We are Infosys Romania.
We offer business consulting, technology and engineering solutions and end-to-end transformative business process management services to some of the world’s most iconic brands.
As part of a large‑scale global transformation, a world‑leading FMCG company has partnered with Infosys to redesign and elevate its Global Business Services (GBS) to world‑class standards. To support this journey, we are seeking a Business Process Owner (BPO) – Supply Chain, who will be the end-to-end owner of the Supply Chain process architecture, governing all sub-processes across Forecast-to-Plan, Logistics & Transportation, Order-to-Cash (interface), and related supply chain domains.
The role focuses on the “design and governance of the process” rather than execution—ensuring that global supply chain processes are fit-for-purpose, standardized, digitized, and delivering business value. The BPO leads a network of Business Process Experts (BPEs), who own deep functional expertise and provides strategic direction across operations, technology, and transformation initiatives.
This is your chance for a ‘once in a lifetime’ career experience, playing a part in the creation of a fully independent, new FMCG company and a greenfield GBS organization.
Your tasks in detail:
- Own the global Supply Chain process taxonomy and architecture (L1–L5), including governance across all sub-process towers (F2P, Logistics, Inventory, Planning interfaces with O2C/P2P);
- Define and maintain standard global process design, ensuring harmonization across markets and business units;
- Establish clear process accountability, eliminating overlaps and silos across functions and geographies;
- Act as the ultimate decision authority on process design, deviations, and standardization trade-offs;
- Define the future-state vision and transformation roadmap for Supply Chain processes aligned with enterprise strategy;
- Lead large-scale transformation programs (e.g., GBS setup, outsourcing, digital supply chain, IBP maturity evolution);
- Drive adoption of best-in-class practices, automation, AI/ML forecasting, and advanced planning capabilities;
- Partner with Digital/IT to shape the technology roadmap (SAP S/4, IBP, Kinaxis, TM, etc.) ensuring alignment with process design;
- Lead and govern a network of Business Process Experts (BPEs) across sub-processes.
- Ensure BPEs act as functional authorities, maintaining deep expertise, documentation, and continuous improvement;
- Drive consistency in methodologies, planning logic, and execution frameworks across regions;
- Establish a strong knowledge management framework, avoiding fragmentation of expertise across markets;
- Define and enforce global SOPs, policies, and process standards across all regions;
- Govern process adherence, ensuring minimal localization unless justified by regulatory or business needs;
- Ensure alignment with internal controls, SOX compliance, audit frameworks, and data governance policies.
- Act as the custodian of process integrity across the enterprise;
- Define global process KPIs and performance frameworks across supply chain, including: Forecast Accuracy & Bias, Inventory Health (DIO), Service Levels (OTIF), Logistics Cost & Efficiency;
- Ensure KPIs are harmonized globally and linked to business outcomes.;
- Drive performance improvement through root cause elimination, benchmarking, and best practice scaling;
- Act as the single point of accountability for supply chain processes across functions (Commercial, Finance, Procurement, Manufacturing);
- Resolve cross-functional conflicts related to process ownership, KPIs, and system design;
- Ensure seamless integration across E2E value chain processes (Plan–Source–Make–Deliver–Cash);
- Co-own system design with IT, ensuring process-first approach to technology implementation;
- Govern global data standards (master data, planning parameters, transport data) to ensure consistency and reliability;
- Drive adoption of digital enablers, analytics, and process mining tools for continuous improvement;
- Establish a continuous improvement framework leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, and digital capabilities;
- Identify and deploy automation opportunities (RPA, AI, advanced analytics);
- Drive a culture of standardization, simplification, and innovation across supply chain processes.
Skills you need to be part of the team:- University degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a highly analytical field;
- 15+ years of experience in Supply Chain, with strong exposure across multiple domains (planning, logistics, customer operations);
- Direct, "in-system" experience with SAP S/4HANA and at least one major planning tool (SAP IBP, Kinaxis, or OMP) is mandatory;
- Proven experience acting as a definitive source of knowledge or a functional lead in a Global Business Services (GBS) or shared services environment;
- Exceptional ability to dissect complex datasets and translate them into actionable planning techniques;
- Experience working with 3PSPs, with the ability to audit and correct technical execution at the keystroke level.
